This is a new Haynes Q2 Weissman model flute. What makes the Weissman model superior to many others is Jeff Weissman finished the flute himself. He had cuts the embouchure hole with a slightly higher edge.

Weissman installs soldered tone holes on the C# and trill keys to cut down on the airiness and to produce better harmonized tones with a more complex sound.

The effect is a richer sound quality and fatter upper register.
