Pre-Owned:

All Pre-Owned Instruments come with a full one-year warranty.

What is not covered:

This warranty does not include repair work due to normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse, and is not transferable.  Torn Pads, Bent Rods or Bent keys, Regular maintenance is not covered that occurs after purchase. However, we are happy to help you get non-warrantied issues taken care of. Contact us and we will make recommendations.

Should a customer experience difficulties covered by the warranty during the first year of ownership, we will make it right free of charge. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the instrument to us for appraisal and repairs. The Flute Finder will pay for the return shipping costs. Please make sure your instrument is insured when shipping in case of shipper loss.

What is covered:

Anything that occurs in the first year due to a manufacturing issue.  All Instruments are Serviced prior to selling. 

TSG Instrument Repair, who is the repair technician for our instruments, warranties their servicing as well. Travis is a highly trained and experience repair technician. He is Straubinger Certified and Muramatsu Certified.

If you have a problem, contact us and we will make every effort to make it right. We do our best to make sure that every instrument sent out for trial and sold is in top condition. Pre-owned instruments should not have the expectation of being as new. But every pre-owned instrument is disassembled, cleaned, polished, new headcork installed, any torn or worn pads replaced, reassembled and adjusted, with any dents or dings delicately removed.

If any issues are experienced or discovered, it is required by our warranty to have the instrument sent back to us to determine what repairs are needed. The Flute Finder will not typically reimburse for repairs made by another technician. The warranty is only valid for repairs made by our technician unless other arrangements are made. Feel free to contact us for exemptions to this rule.

New Instruments:

Ask us about the specific warranty coverage for your purchase.  Each manufacturer has different coverage. 

We will send you a copy of that specific factory warranty.
