The Trevor James Mopane piccolo was created by the design team as a special project with an elevated, hand-crafted piccolo concept in mind. Mopane provides a sweet, colorful and resonant sound that projects well with a headjoint embouchure cut by English maker Andrew Oxley. This new Trevor James  wooden piccolo model not only looks fantastic, it’s also tonally different from the usual Grenadilla wood models which you would usually associate with step-up piccolos.  It has been designed with ease of playing and quality of sound production as its primary focus.  It has a well-rounded tone with the capacity for clear and distinct notes. A hand-cut, wave style headjoint provides increased control and ease of playing.
