The winged headjoint works well when you relax and place airstream right into the wing which focuses the stream. You get the beauty, color, and smoothness of a gold riser creating a very interesting color palette. It really sings and the legato is very smooth.

The Kingwood Mancke has a medium wave with profiled lip plate which reinforces the sweetness of the piccolo but is very agile with clear articulation. Clean and precise. So easy to play!

The Verawood and Kingwood offer a slightly sweeter sound than Grenadilla while still offering a big projecting sound.
